Q: Will the chiropractic adjustment hurt?

A: If it has been a while since your last adjustment or it is your first time getting adjusted, it is not uncommon to experience an ache afterward. You have to remember that before your adjustment, your body was in the incorrect position for said amount of time. Your body compensates and finds a way to become “ok” with that position. Once adjusted to the correct position the body responds and says: “Hey what the heck just happened”. Not to worry though. All patients respond differently to the adjustments. If you happen to experience an “achy” feeling a day or two afterward this is normal and Dr. Butch will send you home with ice packs and “homework” to be completed to help the correction process.

Q: What can I expect when receiving a Class 4 Laser treatment?

A: The Certified Chiropractic Physician Assistant or the Doctor of Chiropractic himself will be the individual completing the laser treatment. They will fully explain the purpose of the treatment and the science behind the treatment before the treatment even begins. Once the laser treatment begins you may feel a warm sensation, we like to use the analogy: “Its like sticking your feet in warm bath water”. Along with the warmth you will be experiencing, the operator may take the area being addressed and do ROM (range of motion), muscle work and Stretching techniques to improve the patient’s outcome. After the session is over, patients are encouraged to increase their water intake that day.

Q: Is being self pay better than using my insurance?

A: This is a great question! There are a lot of variables to take into consideration and there is no general response. Each individual’s insurance benefits will differ. Our office will be happy to verify your benefits and provide you with multiple options so you may get the care you deserve.

Q: If I’m sick should I still come to my appointment or just stay home?

A: Dr. Butch strongly encourages you to come to the office and keep your appointment for your adjustments. There is nutritional support and other modalities that he can offer and recommend in addition to your chiropractic adjustment that will help you on the road to recovery and beating that crud.
